The problem of missing cue sheets in ACUM has been ongoing
for some years. Supplying ACUM with the missing cue sheets
will enable all of us to collect the income that is just "sitting"
there waiting to be collected.
To give you some idea about the extent of this problem here
are some numbers:
There are 5,843 missing cue sheets for films that were broadcast
on TV which were aired between 1997 - 2003 (total of approximately
8,700 broadcasts). Over 10% are films that were broadcast
during 1997. If we do not supply the missing cue sheets before
October 2005, all the income from those films will go for
re distribution and will be lost.
There are 32,816 missing cue sheets for TV series that were
broadcast on TV which were aired between 1997 - 2003 (total
of approximately 55,104 broadcasts). During 1997 the number
of cues broadcast was 4,346 which again could be a potential
loss of income.
To deal with this challenge we have appointed the former
head of the publishers department in Acum as our head of the
missing cue sheet project that is aimed at retrieving and
collecting all of that income. To this end we will need you
to appoint a special contact person for Natasha
to work with. We hope to get as much royalties from ACUM that
we can and as soon as possible.
