April 25, 1975, 30 years ago, Mike Brant jumped from the
balcony of a Parisian apartment on the 6th floor.
The death of the 28-year-old who was sensitive and beautiful
like the sun, who became no 1 singer in France, left his fans,
family and friends in unbearable pain.
Moshe Brand (his real name) was born 1947 from a polish woman,
a survivor of Auschwitz and a survivor from the Russian front
in a refugee camp of Israelites on the island of Cyprus.
On November 1947 the family finally arrived to Haifa in Israel
were they lived very modestly.
In 1969, Mike Brant met the French singers Sylvie Vartan and
Carlos. They both saw Mike's performance and were impressed
by his talent and charisma. They invited him to Paris where
he met Jean Renard who had a big success with Johnny Hallyday
with "How I love you".
In 1970, he became very popular among the French youth. The
Israeli radios and newspapers made him their "baby".
He recorded the titles "Mais Dans La Lumiere", and
"Qui Saura", which became International hits.
With the years his popularity still does not stop growing,
he still remains with his deep and overwhelming voice, a legend
in our time.
