It was about noon when a group of eleven people from
ACUM, the Israeli copyright society, came to MMG's office
for a semi-seminar about the work of a publisher. Most
of the group deals with registration and documentation
of music use in media productions. We divided them into
two groups and presented them some presentations about
our work.
In one room, Aharon, the president of the company, gave
a brief on the ways MMG developed itself since 1995
as a publisher and as a company that gives services
to the music industry. "You should always look
one step forward in order to develop yourself according
to the changes in the music industry". This is
our motto.
Tamar, our V.P. Administration, talked about the Israeli
composers that we represent. Natasha, the manager of
The Broadcast Project explained our new service of creating
Cue-sheets in the correct way for TV-Channels, a service
that saves lots of time for both TV-Channels and ACUM.
In our music room, Eran, the manager of Library and
Customer Relations, presented the different services
including our web site and our magazine and gave them
some tips that can help them find missing information
they need. Elisa, the manager of Commercial Music Marketing
explained the ways of promoting commercial tracks.
The guys from ACUM had many questions about our work.
They talked about some of their difficulties in getting
the information they need from the different medias
and the ways that MMG could help.
"It was very interesting and very well presented"
said Tali Gal, a senior member of the documentation
department, "Even people that knew MMG's work before
learned many new things. We all felt the day together
was very worthwhile".
That's the third time that a group from ACUM has been
to MMG for a semi-seminar.
