Some Music publishing companies, who are represented in Israel by MMG, won some categories at the 47th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.
BMG-Zomba Music Publishing and their songwriters were represented on 7 winners . Bug Music won in 8 categories, Peer Music won in 3, International Music Network and Cherry Lane music won in 1 category each.

Usher, the sexy and hip singer, won in 3 categories:
Best Contemporary R&B Album (For albums containing 51% or more playing time of VOCAL tracks.) for his album: "Confessions" [Arista/LaFace/Zomba Label Group]
Usher's "Confessions" featuring "Yeah!" co-written by Bug's La Marquis Jefferson. This song won Best Rap/Sung Collaboration (For a Rap/Sung collaborative performance by artists who do not normally perform together. Singles or Tracks only.)

Christian Walz Wins "Male POP Artist Of The Year" - 2005 Swedish Grammy Awards
Peermusic Sweden composer/artist CHRISTIAN WALZ -- winner of the Tom-A-Ward at EGM 1999 (we believe in people for a long time!) -- won the Swedish Grammy for "Male POP Artist of the year" last week. Grammy Honors For Eddy Arnold

Additionally, composer Hoagy Carmichael, "Soul Train" creator Don Cornelius, Blue Note Recordsco-founder Alfred Lion and jazz ambassador Dr. Billy Taylor is be honored with the Academy Trustees Award. Producer Phil Ramone and loudspeaker company JBL Professional received the Technical Grammy Award.
