Francis Dreyfus Music is a catalogue originally specialized in jazz, which expanded to blues, electronic, world music, hip hop, rock and pop music.
In 1963 Francis Dreyfus started his publishing company with copyrights of songs written by his college mate, Eddy Vartan, for artists Johnny Hallyday and Sylvie Vartan. The catalog grew with songs performed by Petula Clark (You're the One), other French pop singers and Pink Floyd. Followed by the acquisition of the most prestigious pop-rock music catalogs of the 70's Island Music and Chrysalis Music.
In 1972, Francis Dreyfus launched a record label Disques Motors. His first signature was a talented pop-rock singer-composer, Christophe, who had a huge hit in Europe in 1964 with the song Aline. The writing collaboration between Christophe and Jean Michel Jarre resulted in several hit singles of the artist (starting in 1976 with Oxygene, his first multi-million international hit album).
Francis Dreyfus developed its publishing catalog by representing a number of US composers catalogs (Al Jarreau, Marcus Miller and David Sanborn, Miles Davis/Jazzhorn between 1981 and 1984 (before it was sold to Sony ATV), Benny Golson, Ornette Coleman, Elvis Presley Music since 1989, Charles Mingus, Alice Cooper, US TV series like Dallas, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles since 1990 and many more).
Francis Dreyfus launched his Dreyfus Jazz label in June 1991 with the first CD releases of acquired masters by Bud Powell, Chet Baker, Benny Golson, Bill Evans, Art Pepper, etc.
A year later, Dreyfus Jazz signed long-term artist contracts with the top French jazz composers-musicians, among which the pianist Michel Petrucciani, violinist Didier Lockwood, accordion/bandoneonist are Richard Galliano, guitarists Bireli Lagrene and Philip Catherine, saxophonists Steve Grossman and Rosario Giuliani, the Mingus Big Band, Roy Haynes, Marcus Miller and recently Jean-Michel Pilc.

Music 18 has a catalogue mostly composed by the songs of Joe Dassin.
Joseph Dassin was born in New York on November 5 1938. His career started with the first hit "Bip Bip", released in 1966, which turned him into an overnight star. His deep voice, charisma and natural elegance caused a real stir on the French music scene.
Two years later, he reached the top of the charts with "Les Dalton". The hits followed - "Les Champs-Elysees", "L'Ete Indien", "A Toi", and many others. He performed at the Olympia, the most famous of all Paris's concert halls - a sign of ultimate success in itself.
Within 16 years of his career Joe Dassin recorded more than 250 titles and sold about 50 Million discs. Most of his songs were written by the very talented Claude Lemesle and Pierre Delanoe.
Joe Dassin died on August 20, 1980 of a heart attack.
He definitely remains one of the most popular figures in the history of French music. His songs, which sold millions worldwide during his lifetime, are still frequently played on French radio today more than 20 years after his death. In 1994 a group of young French popular artists got together to pay tribute to the inimitable Franco-American star, recording cover versions of his most famous songs on the compilation album "L'equipe a Jojo".

Sugarmusic Publishing was born with the name Edizioni Suvini Zerboni in 1907.
Ladislao Sugar, the Owner, proving to be a brilliant entrepreneur, acquired several glorious catalogues which helped the company's name making its way outside Italy. He closed deals with important Publishers from the U.K., the U.S.A., Germany, spreading Sugarmusic's influence as far as Japan and representing catalogues which had a positive impact on both the company's reputation and the business income. Ladislao Sugar founded sixteen Sugar Music companies all over Europe and Asia, as well as about sixty companies somehow linked with Sugarmusic Publishing.
The hits never stopped: year after year Sugarmusic published famous compositions which turned to milestones of Italian pop music and were performed by the likes of Adriano Celentano, Ornella Vanoni, I Pooh, Paolo Conte, Loredana Berte, Raf, Pierangelo Bertoli, Umberto Tozzi, Gerardina Trovato, Paolo Vallesi. In 1994, a young Andrea Bocelli won the New Acts prize in Sanremo with "Il mare calmo della sera". This marked the first step of a striking career which, in a few years' time, would lead him to the top of the world charts. Andrea Bocelli topped the US charts more than once, achieving a unique result for an Italian Artist.
Piccola Orchestra Avion Travel won Sanremo Festival in 2000, while 2001 saw Elisa win the first prize in the "Big" category and Gazosa, a teen band, win the New Acts section.
